Components, facts, FAQ, timeline, and tokenomics in one place
Main components (5)
chUSD (synthetic dollar)
An overcollateralized, yield-ready synthetic dollar minted when users deposit stablecoins (USDC/USDT). It maintains a soft peg to the U.S. dollar, backed by real-world-asset collateral, with on-chain mint/redeem and arbitrage mechanisms.
schUSD (staked chUSD)
A yield-accruing ERC-4626 vault token received when users stake chUSD. Yield is generated from Wall Street private credit strategies executed by Covenant VC, Chateau's hedge fund partner.
ch.asset tokenized RWAs
Tokenized private-market assets (equities, SPVs, closed-ended funds, over 1,000 pre-IPO private equities such as OpenAI, SpaceX, Anthropic, ByteDance). Each ch.asset is legally structured as a contractual debt instrument and/or participation interest in an SPV, and can be traded, staked, and used as DeFi collateral.
Covenant VC private credit strategy
A Manhattan-based hedge fund partner that supplies the private-credit portfolio powering schUSD yield, targeting mispriced risk in U.S. SME / revenue-based lending across a hyperdiversified book of 100+ positions.
Compliance layer (Reg S / KYC-AML)
Protocol-embedded compliance restricting access to verified, eligible non-U.S. investors under Regulation S. Only KYC/AML-verified users may participate in primary issuances or redemptions.

Similarity to traditional finance products
How Chateau Capital maps onto established TradFi structures, and where it diverges.
| TradFi product | Similarity to Chateau Capital | Key differences |
|---|---|---|
| Private credit interval / closed-end fund (e.g., BDC or evergreen credit fund) | Both give investors exposure to a diversified private-credit portfolio managed by a professional Wall Street team, aiming for consistent income. | Chateau wraps the exposure in on-chain tokens (schUSD) that settle instantly, allow on-chain secondary exit and use as DeFi collateral, versus TradFi funds with high minimums, lock-ups and multi-month redemption windows. |
| Pre-IPO secondary marketplace (e.g., Forge/EquityZen) | Both offer access to late-stage private equity in companies like SpaceX, OpenAI and Anthropic before IPO. | Chateau tokenizes the exposure as ERC-20 tokens tradable 24/7 with $1 minimums and DeFi composability, rather than high-minimum, illiquid private placements settled off-chain. |
